GAL Training for Adult Guardianship Cases

A Guardian ad Litem (GAL) is a superhero for disabled adults who need someone to advocate for their rights and wellbeing. When these vulnerable individuals are faced with legal battles, the GAL swoops in and becomes their voice. They act as a bridge between the courts, attorneys, and the disabled adult, ensuring that their wishes and needs are heard and taken into account.

For many disabled adults, a GAL is not just a legal representative, but a lifeline. They provide comfort, support, and guidance in times of uncertainty, and ensure that their needs and desires are being met. Without a GAL, many disabled adults would be left to navigate the legal system on their own, which can be a daunting and overwhelming task.

Join us March 28 for our next GAL for Disabled Adults training. Lisa Murphy, Director, Adult Guardianship GAL and Decedent Estates Programs, will cover the skills required to be a successful GAL for adult guardianship cases and the issues that may arise during adult guardianship cases. This training is for licensed attorneys interested in working as pro bono Guardians ad Litem for adults through CVLS. No prior experience is necessary.

Participation via video is required for this interactive training.
