CVLS staff Rebekah Rashidfarokhi and Rose Keel, along with four pro bono attorneys from Pro Bono Network—PBN Pro Bono Director Sheila Pont, Robin Spencer, Laurie Barsella and Jeff Wood--held a clinic this month at Onward Neighborhood House in the Belmont Cragin area of Chicago, where they assisted immigrant families prepare short-term guardianship plans for their children in case of emergencies. Most opportunities are on the south or west sides of the city or near suburbs during evening or weekend hours to accommodate working parents, but some limited weekday options may be available.
