Immigration Clinic with BP and Greenberg Traurig
On November 13, CVLS partnered with volunteers from BP and Greenberg Traurig to host a transformative immigration clinic. Together, this dedicated team provided crucial legal assistance to 15 applicants seeking work authorization—a vital step toward improving their families' and communities' futures.
Beyond immediate outcomes, the clinic revealed lasting opportunities. After thorough screenings, CVLS’s immigration attorney identified that over one-third of the attendees might be eligible for more permanent forms of relief. This underscores the profound impact of sitting face-to-face with skilled legal professionals.
The clinic’s success was a testament to teamwork and generosity. Volunteers from BP and Greenberg Traurig stepped into various essential roles, including attorneys, paralegals, translators, and support staff. Greenberg Traurig’s hospitality team and front desk staff ensured the day ran smoothly, showcasing the power of collaboration.
For those inspired by this initiative, CVLS encourages volunteers to consider taking on immigration cases remotely. Attorneys and paralegals alike can make a meaningful impact, especially during this season of giving. For more information, please contact CVLS immigration attorney, Julie Pellerite. With your support, we can continue helping clients secure the justice and relief they deserve.
