Events

All work and no play makes for gloomy lawyers. We need fun in our lives and pro bono is a great place to discover the joy of being a lawyer. CVLS takes care of its volunteers by hosting events where they can relax, hang out, play golf, run, eat and drink. Oh, yeah, and be honored for their wonderful work.

From Race Judicata, the legal community’s lakefront 5K race/walk to Golf for Justice, from our Annual Award Ceremony to our Holiday Open House, we promise to provide enough play to keep you from being dull.

Seminars

We hold monthly MCLE seminars free to all CVLS volunteers. All seminars are good for 1 hour of MCLE credit. All seminars are held from 12:15 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. at 100 North LaSalle St, Suite 900. Archived seminars can be found here.

Race Judicata^®

A lakefront race with great music, delicious food and drinks, picturesque scenery and over 4,700 of Chicago’s most active and affluent judges, lawyers, paralegals and other professionals.

Golf Fore Justice

Play a round with fellow lawyers on tournament-caliber fairways and enjoy a great dinner afterwards. Relish knowing that it’s all for a great cause.

Vino & Van Gogh

Join CVLS' Junior Board at the 2nd annual Vino & Van Gogh. This fantastic fundraising event is the perfect opportunity to socialize with old friends or make new ones while enjoying wine, food and a little culture.

Annual Award Ceremony

Each fall CVLS, joined by judges and bar leaders, recognizes and thanks its wonderful corps of volunteers at a complementary evening reception.
