CVLS stands by you if you are being sued or facing foreclosure. We're here when you need a bankruptcy, a will or power of attorney. If you want to adopt, need a divorce or guardianship, have a landlord-tenant problem or want help with immigration, we can help. Our volunteer attorneys give you equal access to justice with understanding and dignity - all totally free and on an individual basis.

When you have a legal problem, or your legal rights are in question, remember that you do have someone to turn to: CVLS, the first and pre-eminent pro bono civil legal aid provider in Chicago.

What to do if you need help

If you would like an appointment to meet with a lawyer, call 312.332.1624. Our intake staff will ask you a few questions and, if you qualify, give you an appointment. If we cannot help you, we will try to direct you to someone who can.
